On life and its vagaries

As I Dream

As I Dream

The past condense into the muted-

Signatures of darkling shades and

Mind becomes belligerent, clawing at scabs

Deeply buried in its obscure depths

Time disrupts  in varied and broken twangs

Harsh and fragmented, invoking the

Pockets of hidden domicile, constructed

Of blueprints discovered in the womb

The lord of the deep arise spreading

Its vast limbs, myriad, tentacular, encompassing

Discrete spaces left residual by the breach.

Pulses elongate, conjoin to emote the be-ing

Through the grayish stem mass, something stirs

With forbidding force, stringent in its tones

Etching grooves anew, triggering coalescing webs

Spidery in feel, coercing these to hitch

Their palms together, transposing tremors

Into the numb secret chambers within.

It takes root in the meld of awakening

Darkness, it could be psyche in all its splendor,

The ruler of dreams, “Mana” the first born

And it’s “Sankalpa,” weaving “sphota” in attires

Something igneous breaks forth from primal sphere

Hastening vertical, roaring in terrorizing oceanic might

Threading through a spindle, breaching a column

From within at its webbings, creating infinite racket

The blaze of the dusk pervades the spirit hurtling me

Through to the zenith, there the dark seems to intervene

Then the seasons of the memory again begin their waltz

The transition now silken smooth, even lightening swift………

  2. Hi Sam – very interesting poem. I especially like these lines:

Time disrupts in varied and broken twangs

    Harsh and fragmented, invoking the

    Pockets of hidden domicile, constructed

Of blueprints discovered in the womb

The broken twangs of time- the pockets of domicile and the blueprints in womb – very cool!. k.

  4. Amazing Creative Crafting~ Your use of the language and tying it all together with unseen webs is outstanding~ I love poetry that I have to dig my mental teeth into and although I am not you, in form, I do believe I “felt” what you were so masterfully conveying here~ It reminded me a bit of Sri Auribindo’s epic poem, “Savitri”~ Thank you for lighting the Agni Fire in my heart with this piece~!
