On life and its vagaries

The major Insects

with 3 comments

We are steadily being poisoned by everything we come into contact with, by the words thrown at us, by the smiles paraded before us, by the very air we breathe and the water we drink. We all know this, but we have learned to live with it. Yet there is a type of poison that goes much beyond and enters our core-being and dehumanizes us.

It’s the callousness at our heart; it negates everything human in us and promotes profit motive.

When an elected representative of the people openly derides humanity by standing for a deadly poison that has maimed generations of children, what we see is not heart, what we see is a yawning abyss in our consciousness that drives a deadly chill into our soul.

Its progress   -oh, yes, it’s the progress of death………..

The major Insects

The heart is just that-

A pumping machine,

With no feelings, no emotions-

A muscular sac-

That contracts and expands…….

(And didn’t I mean that!)

Yes, of itself

It’s neither toxic nor pure

It couldn’t possibly know-

What pain and death are…….

How then-

Could it be a witness to human woes?

Why blame it when –

Something goes wrong with our lives?

So, don’t whisper ‘Flint hearted’

Every time we hear something ‘clever’

We err in doing so.

For, this strange mechanism-

That does the incessant ‘lub-dub’-

Is a major nuisance……….

Treat it with scant respect.

Some know this, and they

Become NUMB by that knowledge.

‘What matters the heart?

Not even death matters’- (Their own, may be…?)

So don’t seek a heart

Where a cold-desert reigns……..

  1. mmm…interesting…the heart does harden over time if we dont massgae it with good doses of truth…and we can not deny the atrocity when it is not on our doorstep….
