On life and its vagaries

High Treason

with 2 comments

There is something dated about these lines. Perhaps they are not addressing anything at all.

High Treason

The dawns that blush and

The dusks that go red before our eyes

Have forsaken us

We are done in by a shadow less noon…..

The wicked sorrow,

Thoughtless and ever present

Watches us intently

Even moonlight has become alien to us…..

Birds, heart-worn,

Sings to us In inaudible notes of woe

They say that the saddening wail of the night

Is deepening near us

All around is the glaring summer of reason

And its high treason to feel

Oh traveler

Do you need

A goblet of blood

A petal of heart

Half a soul

You would get them at a reduction here
