On life and its vagaries

The way we like it

with 10 comments

It’s only a humorous  effort to catch ourselves in the act of looking at things.

The way we like it

Ever seen someone

Facing the self without terror?

And cutely yet

We all pose like that!

So we hold our head up

Walk straight

Talk tall

Look fierce

Laugh the loudest……..

And unquestionably

We are the darlings of ourselves.

Can anyone blame us?

You dream!

We are something

The real gem of our hearts

(Which heart? Oh who cares!)

Don’t we make our own food?

And digest it ourselves good?

Do we not look around?

And see everything pro-found?

We are something

Something grand

Something masterful…….

Oh it’s all wrong

We know

But we can’t do without it

And ah!!!!  How we love it!

  1. to love others
    one has to love oneself
but that love shall not blow out
    the beauty in others

a person who doesnot loves and respects oneself fails to love others.. thats what i have read somewhere, and some how i think its true.

  2. I love it dearest Trisha when you say things like that 🙂

We do love ourselves, that was what I was pointing out and enormously so, but unfortunately we don’t love our SELF. That is the only way to love others. Without facing it there is no real love.

We baulk when we hear about it and are forced to face it. We run, we weave a web of other things to escape, others, nature, god, fate, destiny, other worlds, karma, blessings, good deeds, evil, we would latch on anything to out run it.

Oh the terror we feel and the frantic effort we make to extricate ourselves from facing it….. 🙂

Once we have ousted this out we feel an immense relief. God , how masterful I am, I managed to save myself from knowing myself. Am I not something 🙂

With you I am laughing at our poor poses !

  4. That’s an intuitive statement dearest Trisha,

This is what I love in you, you are into the gist of the matter in no time 🙂

To love our true self we need to find it or recognize it.

  5. i am glad that we share the wavelength, and i usually make concise comments, i cant make elaborate comments like you, soulbro or gg do.

my friends used to hate me for this.. they used to request me to tell the story of a movie i have seen, and i used to tell them the gist…heh heh.. 🙂

  6. That is the thing to do 🙂

In a love story I saw recently (a famous comedy on the net) the story line can be reduced to this:

Man loves woman, woman loves man, both hate the third guy who the foolish woman thinks is after her and that idiotic man thinks his rival. Both were egoistic and the other guy had no such intentions.

But in the end of the story the man can’t marry the woman. The dude is already married and with children. The third guy unfortunately is well settled to mind the goings on.

Last scene. Close up of the long face of the woman, muttering something. finis.

You are right, the story can be reduced to a gist like this 🙂

  10. Dearest Trisha,

There is no flattery involved in it as such . It was just a different way of saying thank you.

I have learnt from my bitter experience that being pleasant is a better option everytime, even among friends, than blurting out what is on your mind 🙂

Yeah, she is very possessive about me, my girl. But that doesn’t mean I can’t be nice to you.

If I am being too manish in it, I shall revert to just saying “thanks” all the time 🙂
